Birch Dale Lodge's Weekly Fish Fry:

Every Tuesday we have a big fish Fry. All guests are welcome to join in. There is always plenty of fresh Walleye and Northern Pike, which is cooked over an open fire just like a shorelunch. All the rest of the food is prepared by our chef in the kitchen which includes several different salads, bannock bread, baked beans, wild rice casserole, potato casseroles, potato salads, mixed vegetable dishes, moose meat strips in sauces (when available), several dessert dishes like Jell-O, pies and cakes.

Most guests show up at 6:00 with a couple of beers and dinner is served at 6:30 when the fish is finished. Depending on the time of year and how many people are in camp, we can have as many as 80 people at the fish fry.

It's a great way for guests to meet other guests and tell some fishing stories. On some occasions we hand out certificates to those who catch-&-release outstanding trophy fish.

We have a lot of fun and a lot of food.
